John David Sayles
John David Sayles spent most of his professional life working in accounts, but his passion has always been storytelling and the arts. Based in Brisbane, John has been deeply involved in the local creative community for over two decades.
He has participated in community theatre for more than 20 years and has also worked as a radio announcer alongside his partner Susan on 99.7 Bridge FM in Redcliffe, hosting their Sunday night Arts & Entertainment show It Takes 2. Through these experiences, John has built strong connections with artists, performers, and creatives—many of whom have inspired elements of his writing.
Living in the Sandgate and Shorncliffe area for over 20 years, John draws heavily on the local community and surroundings as the backdrop for his stories.
