The Dominion is retreating — bases abandoned, soldiers gone and its grip on the galaxy loosening by the day. For the people of Kelen, that should mean freedom. Instead, it means something far worse is coming.

When former Dominion Commander Lucas Dorn returns to his family after being presumed dead, he finds his home on the brink of an extinction-level threat. With no back-up, no effective weapons and a town full of farmers, he has days to stop an ancient lifeform from consuming everything in its path.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a golden gladiator is winning fights he shouldn’t, a miner from the Aquis Belt is betting on outcomes she already knows, and a Dominion auditor is being blackmailed by the galaxy’s most feared secret service into recruiting a robot dog for purposes nobody has fully explained to him.

The Orbs of Oblivion is a story about impossible odds, unlikely heroes and the lengths people go to protect the ones they love. It is also, occasionally, about a very large Hergon who is missing his mother.
